Home Sweet Home

Ahh, that is just how I feel. This is my third summer to visit Antigua and it is truly starting to feel like my home away from home. Yesterday when I arrived I heard the twins and Pepe telling Silvia I was here. So sweet! They still smile or wave to me if I pass them while playing soccer.

Silvia, Marvin, and I reminisced about stories from last year and Marvin junior updated me on his love life. They feel like family. I don't have to get the Guide book out to find my way around. I either know or ask someone. Everything is comfortably familiar yet still exciting. Here are some pics of my room:

The first day of classes went well. My teacher, Chicky, already determined I need a little review, vocabulary, and practice with the verbs. She wants me to read books in Spanish which should make my private teacher in the states, Luis, happy. I agree because I already thought Silvia asked if I had a boyfriend despite her knowing my husband. Yeah something was lost in translation.

Salsa classes will not happen again. I was horrible and need something stronger than water to get out there again. Plus it was hot and crowded.

Tomorrow we plan our first weekend trip!
