My shower is H. O. T. If you read last year you know it was freezing cold. This year it is so hot I have to turn it on and off so it doesn't scald my scalp. It's still an electric shower head so I am just hoping it doesn't catch on fire like my housemate's last year. However I prefer it hot rather than cold just not this hot!

A student stayed an extra week so Rita is in the same house but with my family's brother for one week. Hard to explain. Anyway this man is very nice and tries REALLY hard to speak Spanish. However he only has a few things he can say so you have the same convo with him a million times. I try my hardest but goodness he gets on my nerves. Not because of his lack of Spanish but instead his lack of listening. He never remembers the answers to his questions even in English. I find that rude. Well, there was a miscommunication that had Rita laughing so hard at dinner I thought she would cry and now we call him Billy Dodd behind his back even though his name is Ted. Plus I need to learn to hide the annoyance on my face with him. Rita couldn't get to sleep last night because when she closed her eyes she saw my face when he would talk and kept laughing instead of sleeping.
Plus, the swine flu has hit Antigua and I forgot to get Tamiflu or travelers health insurance. Oh well I think they are over reacting just like back home. There are three cases maybe here and the private schools are now closed until July. However one case is at the school the boys in my family go to...Wish me good health!
Update after I drafted this: the public schools are now closed also so I can't volunteer like I did last year. This makes me so sad because it was my favorite part and I have no idea what I will do with my time now. I gave the therapy materials I brought to the teacher today. I only got to see her and one of the kids though. I keep in contact with one of the moms of one kiddo through email and facebook so maybe I will see them also.
