I had so much fun last night! I met up with three people I met the other night to watch a free movie (Slumdog Millionaire) at one of the restaurants. I had already seen the movie but it was fun anyway. After we decided to get a drink, which meant basically swimming through dirty rivers to get there due to torrential rain last night. Anyway, I am in LOVE with this place! It was started by a man from New Orleans but you couldn't tell except they offer jambalaya. Well it is a small dimly lit place with a small loft area with pillows up top. We had the loft all to ourselves and could have stayed there all night. There were two men playing acoustic guitar and they were awesome! I will definitely be going back. We finally left and met up with two people from my school. I didn't get in until 1:30 this morning but it was so fun and worth it. One great thing about travel for me is the diversity of who you meet. Last night there were people from all over the world and all different ages hanging out. We decided that after 21, age doesn't matter as much. However, I did not appreciate the 21 year old girl, Valerie, from Switzerland, telling me a million times one of her best friends back home is 30! FYI-I was not the oldest of our group last night.
I got up early and went shopping with Rita. She needed to buy a gift for someone. This afternoon we are headed to an over night stay in Pana with a boat tour on Sunday to three different towns around Lake Atitlan.
